Welcome to Catherine's Early Learning Academy Preschool and Kindergarten

Infants are born with inquisitive minds as they try to figure out the new and exciting events happening around them. At Catherine’s Early Learning Academy, we work to develop their young minds as we teach them to explore their surroundings and learn new concepts. Our infants are taught from the Frog Street Infant Curriculum which engages them in grasping the basic concepts needed to aid in their growth and development. Activities are centered around the development of their language, cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills. 

In the ever-moving world of a toddler, positive interaction is necessary to encourage self-expression. The curious mind of a toddler is taken into consideration as they are taught self-awareness, social, emotional, and cognitive skills. Our lesson plans include appropriate practices for toddlers as they learn to engage in the firsthand, natural, and social worlds, by observing, manipulating, and exploring. Their learning environment encourages positive interactions where empathy and expression emerge as toddlers learn to relate to those around them. 

Our preschool program is equipped with challenging equipment and toys to help feed the curiosity of the children’s quest for learning. Students are encouraged to explore their learning environment through center play, art, science, math, technology, and music. Our teachers use digital lesson plans to create structured curriculum to meet the needs of each child. Assessments are done to gauge the progress of students to provide additional help whenever possible.

Students are taught to interact with their peers and teachers alike in a community style setting. In so doing students are equipped to build the necessary skills needed for their kindergarten success. These critical skills allow them to enter the next phase of their educational journey knowing how to problem solve, become active listeners and avid entry level readers. 

Providing a solution for the families in our community for after school and school break days is a priority for us. We provide transportation to local area schools.

Parents can rest assured their children will be in a fun and safe environment for learning. Students are encouraged to read, complete homework assignments, or play games with peers. Age-appropriate educational activities are provided to aid in their academic growth and development. A nutritious snack is provided after school. During the school break days breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided.

Summer brings with it the anticipation for fun and excitement. Camp CELA never disappoints as our weekly themed camp delivers what students expect. Camp is held from June to august and provides fun and excitement for our campers. Students can build memories with old friends and develop a connection with new ones. Weekly field trips provide a get-a-way to local area attractions such as museums, aquariums, bowling alleys and parks. On site water day, movie and popcorn days are also among the fun packed summer events. Students also enjoy music classes as they learn a musical instrument such as the guitar, bass, and keyboard.
